On February 7, 2023 Peggy DeMaio, LMT, Chronic Pain Specialist, gave a presentation to the
Doylestown Hospital Village Improvement Association (VIA) entitled “Inspirational Healing---The
Art and Science of Pain Resolution.” The VIA mission is to enhance the health and welfare of
Central Bucks County and surrounding communities. In 1923 the VIA founded Doylestown
Hospital and continues to govern the Doylestown Health System through involvement in the
System’s Boards and Communities.
Peggy is an award-winning, licensed massage therapist and chronic pain specialist. She is one
of less than 16 people in the country who are specially trained in the field of chronic pain and
survivor’s trauma. She has been in practice for over 30 years and has developed personal
treatment programs for patients suffering from pain, PTSD, anxiety, survivors of trauma, people
recovering from alcohol and drug addiction, military veterans, migraine headache and
fibromyalgia sufferers and more.
Peggy gave an excellent and informative presentation to the VIA membership about the ways to
reduce/eliminate longstanding pain from trauma. She offered ways to help VIA members get
their life back on track and leave discomfort behind by helping them make simple changes to
find relief from pain. She also recommended two interesting books on inspirational healing
during her program.
Her manner of presentation was polished, confident, and professional, Several VIA members
commented that the information she presented was wonderful and helpful. I highly recommend
her as a speaker.
